It’s one of the largest service opportunities of the year.
Emmitsburg, MD – More than 200 students at Mount St. Mary’s University will be volunteering this weekend at the 21st Annual Special Olympics Fall Festival.
Special Olympians will meet at the University to compete in flag football, long-distance running, power lifting and tennis.
Among the volunteers a several of the Mount’s student-athletes and student-leaders who will help manage the event.
The Fall Fest is Saturday, October 19 from 9am to 4:30pm at the PNC Sports Complex at Mount St. Mary’s. The opening ceremonies begin at 9am with the competition beginning at 10:15am.
