Frederick, Md (KM) The Frederick Police Department, along with the County Health Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration, will be hosting a drug disposal event on Saturday, October 26th. It will be held at the former Trinity School, 6040 New Design Road, from 10 AM until 2 PM..
Residents are encouraged to drop off unused and expired medications, including prescription and over-the-counter drugs, medical samples, pet medications, ointments and lotions. All personal information on the medication bottles can be removed.
What will not be accepted are thermometers, IV bags, blood or infectious waste or oxygen tanks.
The Frederick County Health Department will be on hand to collect needles and syringes. They must be separated from any medications being turned in.
