Holder Of Wining Mega Millions Lottery Ticket Sold In Walkersville Last Summer Still Has Not Come Forward

Md. Lottery officials say the deadline is fast approaching.

Baltimore, Md (KM). There’s a $1-million Mega Million cash prize out there that has yet to be claimed, and time is growing short for the winner to come forward. Gail Pelovitz, Drawings Manager for Special Games and Promotions for the Maryland Lottery, says the winning ticket was sold at the Sheetz store on Woodsboro Pike in Walkersville on June 21st. The winning numbers drawn later that day were 13, 30, 36, 48 and 62. Pelovitz says the winner got all those numbers correct, but the missed the Mega Ball number which was 18.

Pelotvitz says the deadline for the holder of the winning ticket to come forward is December 20th 2019. “If they don’t claim the prize, the money will go into our unclaimed prize fund which always goes back to the players in the form of prizes,” she says.

If you hold that winning ticket, you need to sign it, and put it in a safe place until you’re ready to come to Lottery headquarters in Baltimore to claim your prize. Pelovitz also says bring a photo identification, and proof of Social Security. The winner can remain anonymous.

The Maryland Lottery also says it’s seeking the winner of a $50,000 Bonus Match 5 for the July 5th drawing sold at the 7-11 store at  162 RItchie Highway in Severna Park. The last day to claim that prize is January 3rd, 2020. The agency is also looking for the winner of a $775,000 Multi-Match Prize for the August 19th drawing which was sold at the Giant at 842 Muddy Branch Road in Gaithersburg. The last day to claim that prize is February 17th, 2020. .

Maryland Lottery and Gaming says it contributed $1.311-billion to the state in fiscal year 2019.
