Juice Spill Closes Travel Lanes Of I-70 Near Hancock

Apple juice spilled across I-70 after one tractor trailer rear-ended another

Hagerstown, Md. (DG) -An accident with a large juice spill closed the travel lanes on I-70 in Washington County.

Maryland State Police are reporting the accident happened at around 2 AM on I-70 westbound by mile marker 7.

Investigators say two tractor trailers were traveling west on I-70 before Hancock when one tractor trailer rear ended the other.

The accident caused significant damage to the rear trailer of the first tractor trailer, and front cab portion of the striking tractor trailer.

The first tractor trailer was transporting apple juice, which spilled over all the westbound lanes.

One driver was transported to a local hospital with injuries.
