Three teams had qualified for the Maryland State Football Championship games.

Frederick, MD (RD) – Frederick County Schools qualified three football teams to play for their respective state football championship titles this year. This was the first time the county ever had three teams earn that berth.
At the 3A level, the Linganore Lancers went up against the Damascus Swarming Hornets. The game played Thursday Night, resulted in a Linganore loss 38-0.
At the 1A level, the Catoctin Cougars played the Dunbar Poets. This game was played Saturday afternoon with the Cougars being victorious 31-8.
In the final 2A game the Middletown Knights were against the Potomac Wolverines. Middletown emerged victorious defeating Potomac 34-15.
All games were held at Navy Marine Corps Stadium in Annapolis and all were covered on WFMD. All games are posted on our podcast site.
