Comptroller Launches New Maryland Taxes Website

Annapolis, MD – A new website for Maryland taxpayers was launched Monday as a part of Comptroller Peter Franchot’s efforts to make tax filing more efficient.

Franchot said the website was brought into the 21st century, featuring easy access to on various platforms like tablets and cellular devices.

“It’s the difference between 1995 and 2019,” Franchot said.

Franchot said the website was worked on for the past two years and provides links, tutorials, and a help hotline for taxpayers to utilize.

The new website launch will also change the emails addresses of Maryland Comptroller employees from [email protected] to [email protected].

“86% of Marylanders last year filed their taxes electronically,” Franchot said. “It saves the state a lot of money and saves the environment a lot of trees.”

The website went live on December 16th and is available for use at www.MarylandTaxes.gov
