Snow Emergency Plan Lifted In Washington County

But Maryland State Police still urge motorists to drive cautiously.

Hagerstown, Md (KM).  The Maryland State Police at the Hagerstown Barrack have lifted the Snow Emergency Plan as of 11:00 AM On Monday.  In a statement, troopers say thanks to the work of the county’s highway crews, road conditions are have much improved, and most major routes are clear.

But State Police residents to continue to drive cautiously as some roads not part of the Snow Emergency Plan are still snow and ice covered.  Drivers are especially urged to be careful on exit ramps, bridges and when they  turn from state and US routes  to other roads.  Authorities say motorists should be on the alert for county and municipal highway  crews who are doing their jobs clearing the roads of snow and ice.

The State Police in Frederick County lifted the Snow Emergency Plan at 10:00 AM.
