Arrests Made in Dickerson Homicide

All suspects are associated with the 18th Street gang.

Dickerson, MD – Arrests have been made in connection to the November homicide of a woman found in a wooded area of Dickerson.

The Montgomery County Department of Police Major Crimes Division report that 19-year-old Sara Gutierrez-Villatoro of Washington, D.C. was found dead on November 29 in the wooded area of the 25700 block of Old Hundred Road.

“We have arrested four individuals,” Captain Thomas Jordan of the Montgomery County Police said. “It does appear to be gang related.”

Jordan said there was an apparent gunshot wound on Gutierrez-Villatoro’s body.

The following were arrested yesterday and charged with 1st Degree Murder:

Jonathan Josue RIVERA-ESCOBAR, age 19, of Silver Spring, MD

Geovany A DOMINGUEZ-ESCOBAR, age 24, of Washington, DC

Jordan Ryan MORENO, age 21, of Washington, DC

Rigoberto MACHADO, age 16, of Washington, DC (Juvenile – Charged as Adult)

All suspects have been reported to be associated with the 18th Street gang.

The incident is still under investigation.

Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest in this case.
