Fire Damages Home Near Mt. Airy

One fire fighter was  injured.

Mt. Airy, Md (KM)  Fire fighters from Frederick, Carroll, Howard and Montgomery Counties were busy on Christmas Day putting out a house fire in the Mount Airy area.

The call went out shortly before 11:00 AM for a house on fire at 6212 Woodville Road. About 80 fire fighters spent approximately one hour bringing  the flames under control.

Officials say One fire fighter was injured. He was taken to Frederick Health Hospital where he was treated and released.

Four adults and two children were displaced and are being assisted by the Red Cross.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
