Two people were injured
Cumberland, MD – Firefighters responded to a structure fire Wednesday that occurred on the 200 block of Columbia Street in Cumberland.
60 firefighters from the Cumberland Fire Department responded around 11:29 a.m. and it took them over an hour to control the blaze.
The fire caused an estimated $50,000 in structural damages, and an occupant of the home was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
A firefighter sustained a minor injury but refused treatment.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
