Two Charged In Home Invasion Robbery In Hampstead

Cash, guns and the victim’s vehicle were taken.

 

Hampstead, Md (KM) The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office has charged two men for a home invasion robbery in Hampstead Saturday evening. Michael Paul Crosby, 46, of Westminster and Eric Michael Wright, 36,  of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania are charged with several offenses, including burglary, home invasion, assault, and weapons offenses.

Authorities say the two are suspected of breaking into a home of a 73-year-old man in the 1800 block of Fairmount Road, and taking money, weapons and the victim’s truck. The victim was tied up, but was able to break free, and go to a neighbor’s home and call 911.

Crosby and Wright were arrested by Baltimore County Police. Several rifles and shotguns were recovered from the victim’s truck.

Detectives from the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office interviewed the two men, and learned that Crosby is related to the victim.

The two men are being held without bond at the Carroll County Detention Center. They also face charges in Baltimore County.
