Cumberland, Md (KM) State Police are investigating the death of an inmate at the Western Correctional Institution in Cumberland..
Authorities say Bradley Rinehart, 52, was found unresponsive in his cell on Sunday. He was pronounced dead by emergency medical personnel.
His body was taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause and manner of death. .
Investigators say an inmate has been identified as a potential suspect, but no charges have been filed at this time and that person’s name is not being released. .
The investigation into Rinehart’s death is being conducted by the Maryland State Police Homicide Unit with assistance from State Police crime scene technicians. Authorities say once the investigation is completed, the findings will be presented to the Allegany County State’s Attorney’s Office for review regarding any charges.
