Crash Near Libertytown Kills Baltimore Man

State Police a car collided with a truck pulling a trailer.

 

 

Libertytown, Md (KM) A Baltimore man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Frederick County Tuesday morning.

State Police say just after 7:00 AM,  a Honda Civic operated by Philip Adelman, 36, was traveling east along Route 26 near Albaugh Road when it crossed the center line. The driver of a landscaping truck pulling a trailer swerved to avoid a collision. Adelman’s car struck the rear driver’s side of the truck and the trailer. He was partially ejected from his vehicle. Adelman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The area of Route 26 and Albaugh Road was closed for a time as troopers conducted their investigation.

The driver of the landscaping truck is identified as Travis Waddel, 26, of Mount Airy.
