A Frederick woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon north of Frederick.
State Police say a Mercury Grand Marquis operated by Kristy Denise Clark, 56, was attempting to cross southbound Route 15 on to Sundays Lane when it was struck by a Ford Expedition, .which was traveling southbound.
Troopers say Clark was extricated from her vehicle. After she was loaded into an ambulance, Clark was pronounced dead.
The driver of the Expedition is identified as Derek Lee Rector, 34, of Frederick.. He was transported to Frederick Health Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
State Police closed both southbound lanes of Route 15 near Sundays Lane for about an hour while they conducted an investigation.
