The man was flown to Shock Trauma where he passed away from his injuries
Keymar, Md. (DG) – A head-on collision in Keymar claims the life of an elderly man.
The accident happened Friday at around 1:15 p.m. on Route 194 and Y Road.
The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office reports the crash involves a Mercury Milan passenger vehicle and a Ford F-350 truck hauling a large equipment trailer.
The accident happened when 83-year-old Paul Horns was traveling northbound on Route 194 in his car and he crossed the center line and was struck by the truck, which was traveling south bound.
Horns was flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore where he died from his injuries. The driver and passenger in the truck were not injured.
The accident remains under investigation.
