Two Killed In Crash Near Charles Town, WV

One was a Jefferson High senior.

 

Charlesl Town, WV  (KM) Two people were killed in a two-vehicle crash in the Charles Town area in Jefferson County, West Virginia Thursday evening.

At around 7:20 PM, Jefferson County Emergency Communications received a call about a two-vehicle crash along Route 51 (Middleway PIke) at Ambler Road. The Sheriff’s Office says it responded,  along with Charles Town Police and West Virginia State Police.  They  found  a Dodge Ram and Kia Sorento were in the roadway. .

Deputies say Alisha Shamburg, 30, of Kearneysville was pronounced dead at the scene. She was the driver of the Dodge Ram. Hunter Muse, 17, from Ranson, was also pronounced dead at the scene. He was a passenger in the Sorento and a senior at Jefferson High School.   Dylan Mills, 18, from Kearneysville, who was the driver of the Sorrento, was medivaced to Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church. .He is a senior at Jefferson High. .

An accident recontructionist was called to the scene.

Authorities say earlier reports of an unresponsive infant in a vehicle were unfounded. The child was located safely at home.
