Frederick Police Warn About Counterfeit Oxycodone

They say these pills could contain fentanyl.

Frederick, Md (KM) Frederick Police are reminding residents that some oxycodone tablets bought on the street may be counterfeits and contain fentanyl.

Authorities say since the beginning of January, officers have responded to three non-fatal overdoses in the city. They say someone taking these pills think they’re getting a dose of oxycodone, but instead are getting a much higher concentration of an opioid.

Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid which is very powerful and can be fatal.

If you are having problems with addictions and need help, call 211, and press the number 1 to find out about assistance in getting clean.
