Knoxville Woman Charged with Murder

She was charged with one count each of first-and second-degree murder

Frederick, MD – A Knoxville woman was arrested by Frederick county sheriff’s deputies early Tuesday morning and charged with first-degree murder.

According to court documents, 37-year-old Michelle Leigh Handorf has been charged with one count of first and second-degree murder, as well as the use of a firearm in a felony crime of violence.

Deputies arrived at the 3800 block of South Mountain Road where they found Wesley Alan Gibson, suffering from gunshot wounds.

Gibson was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
