WV Highway Division To Hold Meeting On Rockslides Along Rt. 340

The public can ask questions and submit written comments.

 

Harpers Ferry, WV (KM) An informational workshop is scheduled for Thursday, February 6th. in Harpers Ferry on rockslides. The West Virginia Division of Highways is holding the meeting from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Mather Training Center, 51 Mather Place.

It will focus on rockslide protection and stabilization measures along the existing slopes of Route 340 northbound between Chestnut Hill Road and Harpers Ferry Road. Officials say there will be no formal presentation, but citizens will have the opportunity to ask questions and make written comments.

The Division says this meeting complies with the requirements of  the National Environmental Policy Act.

Those who wish to file written comments should send them to Mr. R.J. Scites, P.E., Director of Engineering, West Virginia Division of Highways, 1334 Smith Street, Charleston, WV, 25301 on or before March 9th, 2020.
