House Sustains Exterior Damages Following A Fire

No one was injured.

 

 

Hagerstown, Md (KM) Damage from a house fire in Washington County over the weekend was contained to the exterior.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says just before midnight on Sunday, 26 fire fighters from the Funkstown Volunteer Fire Company were dispatched to 234 Stanford Road in Hagerstown, and spent ten-minutes bringing the flames under control. No one was injured.

Damage is estimated at $3,000 to the structure and $7,000 to the contents. .

Investigators say the fire originated under a rear exterior deck. The cause is under investigation.

The home is a single-family, split foyer residence owned by Jorges Barajas.
