A contractor will be making repairs to the embankment.
Frederick, Md (KM) Roy Shafer Road between Bennie Duncan Road and Bussard Road will be closed beginning on Monday, February 17th, 2020.. The Frederick County Office of Transportation Engineering says this will allow the contractor, Concrete General, Inc., to complete repairs on a damaged road embankment, That will include mechanical stabilization of the embankment, minor pavement patching and guardrail installation.
The work is scheduled to last eight weeks until April 10th, 2020, weather permitting.
A signed detour route will be in place during the road closure. Motorists can use a combination of Bussard Road and Old Middletown Road.
