Ijamsville Man Among Eight Indicted On Friday By The Frederick County Grand Jury

David Hunley is charged with child abuse.

 

Frederick, Md (KM) The Frederick County Grand Jury handed down eight indictments on Friday, including one against  David Glenn Hunley, 31, of Ijamsville, whose charged with 1st-degree child abuse causing physical injury.

Authorities say Hunley called 911 on January 6th when he noticed his two-month-old son was unresponsive, and appeared not to be breathing.

Prosecutors say Hunley’s son was was examined by medical professionals who say the infant had a  fracture to one of his right ribs and other to his left clavicle that were already healing by the time he was examined. They also say the child could suffer from permanent blindness, memory loss and severe brain damage.

The seven other indictments were filed against:

* Jose Adan Gochez, 41, Gaithersburg, Md., whose charged with 2nd-degree rape and sexual abuse of a minor for incidents which occurred between January 1st, 2009 and June 30th, 2009.

* Marcus Eugene Hopkins, 39, Libertytown, Md, whose charged with  2nd-degree child abuse and 2nd-degree assault for an incident which occurred on November 15th, 2019.

* Christopher Bryon  White, 29, Frederick, Md. whose charged with two counts of 1st-degree assault, two counts of reckless endangerment, having a handgun on his person, and use of a handgun in a felony violent crime for an incident which occurred on January 25th, 2020.

* Bryan Lee Grossnickle, 55, Sabillasville, Md., whose charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography, and two counts of promotion, distribution and possession with intent to distribute child pornography for incidents which occurred between September 11th, 2019 and November 5th, 2019.

The Grand Jury also indicted some individuals for drug offenses:

* Clarence Anthony Baker, 38, Hagerstown, Md, whose charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine for an incident which occurred on January 9th, 2020.

* Kareern Abdul Roberts, 29, whose charged with possession of a large amount of narcotics, possession with intent to distribute, conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and possession of fentanyl; possession with intent to distribute, conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and possession of cocaine; possession of drug administration equipment, possession of a hypodermic needle and fentanyl , resisting and interfering with an arrest, attempting to destroy physical evidence (fentanyl caps) for an incident which occurred on January 7th, 2020.

* Sarah Nicole McKenney McIlwee, 39, Hagerstown, Md, whose charged with possession with intent to distribute, conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine; conspiracy  to possess  with intent to distribute drug administration equipment, possession of a hypodermic syringe (fentanyl); possession of paraphernalia (glass smoking pipe) for cocaine; possession of “chore boy”: for cocaine; and driving while suspended for an incident which occurred on January 7th, 2020.

These indictments move these cases to Circuit Court where trial dates will be scheduled.

Prosecutors remind us that all defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
