Five Clarksburg High Students Charged After A Gun Was Brought To School

Two are charged as adults.

 


Clarksburg, Md (KM) Five Clarksburg HIgh students are charged in connection with a handgun being brought to school. Montgomery County Police say Tyson Brown, 16, of Clarksburg,  is charged as an adult with possession of a handgun, robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. Justin Ferguson, 18, of Gaithersburg is charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.

The other three are charged as juveniles:

* Juvenile male, 15, charged as a juvenile with possession of a handgun and possession of a deadly weapon on school grounds.

* Juvenile male, 15, charged as a juvenile with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.

* Juvenile male, 16, charged as a juvenile with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.

On Monday at around 1:00 PM, police responded to the school at 22500 Wims Road after the school resource officer was notified of a 15-year-old student who had been a victim of a robbery, and had brought a handgun to school. A handgun magazine was found after a search of the student’s backpack, according to police..

The student told detectives he and four other teenagers met in a bathroom that morning. During their interaction, a robbery occurred. Four of the suspects stole the handgun, and the victim’s wallet and cash

Three of the kids who are charged as juveniles were processed at a police station and released to their parents; the two charged as adults were taken to the central processing Unit.

Police say the handgun has not been recovered despite multiple searches.
