Two Men Charged With Attempted 2nd-Degree Murder, Weapons Offenses

They were arrested in Hagerstown following an exchange of gunfire earlier this month.

 

Hagerstown, Md (KM) Hagerstown Police have charged two men in connection with an exchange of gunfire last week.

On Saturday, February 8th, officers arrested Keiontae King-Thomas, 26, of the 900 block of Dual Highway in Hagerstown, charging him with attempted second-degree murder, 1st- and 2nd-degree assault, having a handgun on his person, having a loaded firearm on his person, use of a firearm in a felony violent crime and reckless endangerment. .

Darren Kip Walden, 24, of the 600 block of Hayes Avenue in Hagerstown, was apprehended on Tuesday, February 11th. He’s also charged with attempted 2nd-degree murder, 1st- and 2nd-degree assault, having a handgun on his person, having a loaded handgun on his person, use of a firearm in a violent felony and reckless endangerment.

Both were taken to the Washington County Detention Center.

Authorities say this stems from a shots-fired incident between two men on February 5th in the 200 block of Jonathan Street.
