Frederick, Md. (DG) – A stray kitten found in Frederick has tested positive for rabies.
The Frederick County Health Department on Thursday reported the cat was found on Gambrill Park Road near Shookstown Road. It is described as a white, domestic short-haired female, with tabby spots on its head. The kitten is about six months old.
The health department is asking anyone who may have had contact with the cat since January 27, 2020, to contact their health care provider.
If any of your pets have had contact with the cat, contact your veterinarian.
