Two High School Students In Montgomery County Arrested For Rape

The victims were 11-years-old

Rockville, Md. (DG) – Two Montgomery County Public School students were recently arrested at their high schools after they allegedly raped two 11-year-old girls.

20-year-old Jonathan Coreas-Salamanca and 19-year-old Ivan Reyes Lopez are both charged with second-degree rape. Coreas-Salamanca faces additional charges of sexual abuse of a minor and third-degree sexual offense.

Police arrested Coreas-Salamanca on February 13, at Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring, where he is a student. On February 19 Lopez was arrested at Chevy Chase High School where he attends class.

Coreas-Salamanca is accused of providing an 11-year-old girl with a cell phone. Police say he allegedly used the phone to exchange explicit text messages and photographs, and arrange meetings for sexual activity. The victim’s father dicovered the phone and contacted police.

Lopez is accused of raping a different 11-year-old girl while they watched TV.

Coreas-Salamanca and Lopez are being held without bond.
