It will allow crews to finish repaving, striping, install lighting.
Hagerstown, Md (KM) The ramps from I-70 eastbound to Sharpsburg Pike (Md. 65) northbound in Washington County will be closed weekends through the end of March. The State Highway Administration says crews will be repaving and striping the ramps, and installing new lighting.
The closures will take place from 9:00 PM through 5:00 AM Sundays through Thursdays so as not to disrupt traffic during rush hour.
Signs, a flagging crew and traffic barrels will be set up to direct motorists through the detours.
For motorists heading to Md 65 north:
Take Exit 32B onto US 40 westbound
Take I-70 westbound exit from US 40
Take I-70 West to Exit 29
For drivers on Md. 65 who want to go east on I-70:
Take the on ramp from MD 65 to I-70 west
Take exit 28 (MD 632)
Turn left at the traffic signal onto MD 632
Proceed to I-70 eastbound on the ramp
Follow signs to head east
