Tinted Windows Leads To Drug Arrest

Police found large amounts of cocaine and fentanyl

Frederick, Md. (DG) – 46 pounds of cocaine and 3 pounds of fentanyl were found during a traffic stop in Point of Rocks.

A Frederick County Sheriff’s Deputy pulled over a 2017 Tahoe for having illegally tinted windows on Tuesday at around 10 AM near Rt 15 and Rt 28.

When the deputy approached the vehicle, there was a faint smell of marijuana coming from inside and the driver, Lamonte Young Sr., began acting nervous.

A K-9 was called to the scene and in the trunk police found two large boxes filled with vacuum-sealed plastic bags of cocaine and fentanyl.

Young was charged with drug possession, possession with intent to distribute, possession of a large quantity of narcotics, and importing narcotics into the state. He is being held at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center.
