Keymar, Md (KM) A two-alarm fire heavily damaged a home in Keymar early Thursday morning.
Shortly before 1:00 AM, fire fighters from Carroll and Frederick Counties were dispatched to the 8200 block of Mumma Ford Road, where they found a three-story, single family home on fire. The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says it took 80 fighters 30-minutes to bring the flames under control.
One occupant refused treatment for smoke inhalation; one fire fighter was taken to the hospital with minor burns.
Damage is estimated at $200,000 to the structure, and $100,000 to the contents.
The Fire Marshal’s Office says the cause remains under investigation, but officials say there appears to be no criminal intent.
