Officials say it will help minimize the risk of spreading the coronavirus.
Frederick, Md (KM) The Frederick County School System has canceled all overnight out-of-town travel for field trips or extra-curricular activities. Officials say they took this action following consultation with the Health Department and neighboring school districts.
Superintendent of Schools Dr. Theresa Alban says these are pro-active measures to help minimize the risk of spreading the coronavirus in the School System. “The health and safety of our students and staff are always a high priority in our decision-making process,” said Dr. Alban, in a statement.
