Frederick Health Hospital Virtual Visit To Be Free For 90 Days

The hospital made the decision to help patients deal with the coronavirus.

Frederick, Md (KM). Following the coronavirus emergency, the virtual visit sponsored by Frederick Health Hospital will be made available without cost.

Dr. Manny Casiano,  the hospital’s Chief Medical Officer,  says the service has been around for a while. Patients can go on line and describe their symptoms to a physician. They’ll be asked if they need to see a doctor, or a prescription will  written for  them.

“We’ve had that service for the better part of a year. We’ve decided–actually just today {Mon}–to make that a free service for the next 90 days at least,” says Dr. Casiano. The service usually costs $25.

He spoke on Monday during the County Executive’s public information briefing on the coronavirus.

During the briefing, Dr. Casiano said there have been no patients coming into Frederick Health Hospital with the coronavirus. But if that happens, he says the hospital is ready.
