Residents Of Apartment Complex In Frederick Displaced After 2-Alarm Fire

One resident said the smoke alarm never went off

Frederick, Md. (DG) – Frederick County fire fighters battled a 2-alarm fire at Camden Clearbrook Apartments in Frederick early this morning.

Rescue crews initially responded to Apt 105 in the 6400 Blk of Mercantile Dr. at around 12:30 AM.

Scanner reports say three apartments were directly affected by the fire.

One resident, Michelle McDonald, said the fire alarm never went off. Her dog woke her up, and she looked outside and saw the flames.

McDonald’s apartment is right beside one of the apartments affected by the fire.

The fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
