Foreclosure, Eviction Cases Will Not Go Move Through Md. Courts At This Time

This is in response to the coronavirus emergency.

 

Annapolis Md (KM) Foreclosures and evictions will not move forward in Maryland’s courts.

An administrative order issued by Court of Appeals Chief Judge Mary Ellen Barbera says all foreclosures on residential properties pending in the Circuit Courts, and rights of redemption of tax sales on residential properties, have been put on hold during the coronavirus emergency. In addition, the judge said residential  evictions pending in District Court have also been put on hold.

These actions may be filed in the courts, but they won’t be processed until normal operations resume. .

The judge also says Maryland state courts and court offices will continue to be staffed with essential employees.
