Clerk Stabbed At 7-11 In Apparent Robbery

The victim was transported to an area hospital.

 

Frederick, Md (KM) Frederick Police are searching for a suspect who robbed and stabbed a clerk at the 7-11 store at 1042 West Patrick Street Thursday night.

Authorities say a man came from behind the counter, assaulted the cashier and then fled. Officers at the scene provided first aid until medics arrived. Authorities say the clerk was taken to an area hospital to be treated for his injuries He had a puncture wound to his left side.

Based on the account of the incident, investigators believe the motive was robbery.

Police say the suspect is described as an African-American male between 5’6″ and 5’8″ He was wearing a mask which partially covered his face.

The man fled to a nearby parking lot, and is believed to have left in a vehicle.
