Playgrounds are closed until further notice.
Frederick, Md (KM) All Frederick County Parks and Recreation programs have been canceled until June 1st due to the coronavirus emergency. . Officials say that includes park shelter and building reservations. Citizens can receive a credit to their accounts, a transfer or a full refund.
All Spring Seasonal Programs at Frederick County Public Schools’ Recreation Center locations, nature centers, park shelters and community park buildings are also canceled.
Water fountains are turned off, and restrooms are closed. But porta-johns have been added for walkers in the parks.
And all county park playgrounds are closed until further notice.
The County’s Division of Parks and Recreation says it continues to monitor development as well as federal, state and local responses to the coronavirus, or COVID-19. It says the county is committed to the health and safety of everyone who visits the parks.
