FCPS To Offer Cold Breakfasts To Go At 10 Community sites

They will be available starting on Wednesday, March 25th.

 

Frederick, Md (KM) The Frederick County School System says cold breakfasts to go will be available at the ten community sites around the county where meals are being served while schools are closed. The breakfasts to go will be available from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM along with the Grab-N-Go lunches and suppers.

The 10 community centers are:

*Brunswick – Rite Aid Parking Lot, Brunswick Heights Shopping Center, 92 Souder Road, Brunswick

*Buckeystown United Methodist Church – Parking Lot, 3440 Buckeystown Pike, Frederick

*Concord Mobile Homes Park Community – 4828 Pioneer Circle, Jefferson

*Jubilee Foods – Parking Lot at 515 E. Main Street, Emmitsburg

*Heather Ridge – School Parking Lot, 1445 Taney Avenue, Frederick

*Lucas Village Community Center – 111 Pennsylvania Avenue, Frederick

*Max Kehne Ball Field – Parking Lot, 1100 West 7th Street, Frederick

*New Market Shopping Center – Parking Lot, PNC Bank Location, 11717 Old National Pike, New Market

*Thurmont Elementary – School Parking Lot, 805 E. Main Street, Thurmont

*Walkersville – Discovery Shopping Center Parking Lot (Goodwill Store), 8425 Woodsboro Pike, Walkersville

Look for the bright yellow school buses.

Breakfasts  will be served Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM until 9:30 PM, and lunches  and suppers to go will continue to be served at these following schools:

*Ballenger Creek Elementary

*Crestwood Middle

*Frederick High

*Hillcrest Elementary

*Lincoln Elementary

*Monocacy Elementary

*North Frederick Elementary

*Waverley Elementary

Participants must be age 18 and under, or adults enrolled in an education program for persons with disabilities. They do not have to live in Frederick County, or be registered as students with the School System in order to take part.

The free meals were set up by the Frederick County School System after the state ordered all schools closed through March 27th to help slow the spread of the coronavirus.
