Frederick County Has Community Spread Coronavirus Cases

Both are women with mild symptoms

Frederick, Md. (DG) – Frederick County has two confirmed cases of community spread coronavirus.

The Frederick County Health Department reported on Monday both cases are women with no travel history, and no connection to other cases. One woman is in her 20’s, and the other in her 30’s. They are both recovering at home.

Frederick County has four coronavirus cases. The first case was announced on March 16, 2020. A woman in her 30s who did not travel abroad but had contact with people who recently traveled to Italy. She had mild symptoms and recovered at home.

The Maryland Department of Health is reporting 288 cases of coronavirus in the state.
