Woodbine House Damaged By Fire Considered A Total Loss

The cause remains under investigation

 

Woodbine, Md (KM) The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says a house in Woodbine in Carroll County which was damaged by fire Thursday morning is a total loss.

At around 10:16 AM, fire fighters were dispatched to the 4,000 block of Old Washington Road for a two-story, wood frame home on fire.  50 fire fighters spent two hours bringing the flames under control. There were no injuries.

Damage is estimated at $300,000 to the structure, and $30,00 to the contents.

The cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation.

Officials say the home was under renovation at the time of the fire, and was unoccupied.

The fire was discovered by a passerby.
