Frederick County Records First Coronavirus Death

It;s an elderly woman with underlying health conditions.

 

Frederick, Md (KM)   The Frederick County Health Department announced on Tuesday the first local death from COVID-19.  It’s a 90-year-old Frederick County residents who had an underlying medical condition.

“I am deeply saddened to announce this loss,” says Health Officer Dr. Barbara Brookmyer, in a statement.  “We hope that the family will receive support from their friends and neighbors as they share the news of the passing of their family member.  We know that many in our community will experience similar losses as more people die from COVID-19.  This a sobering reminder of the risk that this virus poses.”
