Middletown, Md (KM) There’s some new information on the suspect who robbed the Safeway store in Middletown on Tuesday.

The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office says the sweatshirt worn by the suspect was thought to have read “South Carroll Soccer Rocks.” But authorities say further investigation has determined it reads “North Carroll Soccer Rocks.”

The individual pictured in the surveillance video from the store is a white male, 5’8″ to 5’10” with a medium build and between 20 to 30 years of age.

Investigators say the suspect entered the store, approached two clerks, and demanded money. He waived what appeared to be a six-inch kitchen knife in their faces, threatening to stab them. The suspect got away with $148 in cash. No one was hurt.

The investigation into this robbery is continuing, and anyone who has information on this individual is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office. They can call Detective Stears at 301-600-6403, or Detective Brady at 301-600-7134. Citizens who have information and want to remain anonymous can call the Tip Line at 301-600-4131.
