Teenager Killed In Pedestrian Accident In Hagerstown

Police say she was struck by a dump truck.

 

 

Hagerstown, Md (KM).   A 16-year-old girl was struck and killed by a dump truck Monday in Hagerstown.

Police responded to the area of Frederick Street and Monument Boulevard and met with a construction crew. They were told that the girl was riding a hover board in the area when she was hit.  The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say her name is not being released at this time until next of kin  have been notified.

Accident Reconstruction  officers were dispatched to the scene and their investigation continues.

The dump truck is owned by the City of Hagerstown, and is assigned to the Department of Public Works.
