Frederick Man Charged With Theft Scheme

Authorities say he stole items from construction sites.

 

 

Frederick, Md (KM) Charges have been filed against a Frederick man for stealing items  from homes under construction.

The Sheriff’s Office says it began receiving  a large number of theft reports from construction sites between October, 2019, and April, 2020.. That included tankless water heaters, faucets and other materials.   Authorities say David William Lawson, 43, was identified as a a suspect.

Detectives say they served several search warrants, and located evidence that further ties Lawson to a theft scheme from homes under construction and a warehouse along English Muffin Way. The stolen items total more than $100,0000. .

Lawson i charged with:

 

Theft Scheme: $25,000 – $100,000 (1 count)

Theft Scheme: $1,500 – $25,000 (2 counts)

Attempted 2nd degree burglary (2 counts)

Attempted 4th degree burglary (2 counts)

Rouge and Vagabond (2 counts)

Malicious Destruction of Property (2 counts).
