More than 1,000 statewide deaths reported.
Frederick, Md (KM) The number of COVID-19 cases and deaths in Frederick County continue to increase. As of Thursday afternoon, the Health Department says the number of coronavirus cases went up from 918 to 940. The agency also say there are now 60 deaths from COVID-19, up from 58 the day before.
The Washington County Joint Information Center is also reporting an increase in the number of coronavirus cases: from 207 to 216 as of Thursday afternoon. Two more deaths are also reported in Washington County, bringing the total up to five.
Statewide, the Maryland Department of Health is reporting 21,742 cases with 1,047 deaths as of Thursday morning.
