Cases are also increasing in Washington County.
Frederick, Md (KM) The number of coronavirus cases and deaths continue to rise in Frederick County. The Health Department says as of Friday afternoon, there are 968 cases of COVID-19, an increase of 28 from the day before. The number deaths increased by one to 61.
In Washington County, the Joint Information Center says there are 225 cases, a jump of nine from Thursday. The number of deaths in Washington County still stands at five.
The Maryland Department of Health says as of Friday morning, the number of COVID-19 cases statewide stands at 23,472, with 1,098 deaths.
