COVID-19 Cases Continue To Rise In Frederick & Washington Counties

Deaths increase by one in Frederick County, remain the same in Washington County.

 

 

Frederick, Md (KM) The number of COVID-19 cases in Frederick County continue to increase. As of Thursday afternoon, the Health Department says there are now 1,171 coronavirus cases in the county, an increase of 21 from the day before. There are now 71 deaths from the virus in Frederick County,  that’s up from 70 on Wednesday.

In Washington County, the Joint Information Center reports 265 cases of COVID-19 as of Thursday, which is eight more than the day before. The number of deaths remains at eight.

Statewide, the Maryland Department of Health reports 29,374 coronavirus cases as of Thursday, an increase of  1,211 from the day before. The number of deaths is 1,401, 63 more than on Wednesday.

Health officials say the number of COVID-19 cases will probably continue to rise as testing becomes more widespread.
