Frederick, Md (KM) A number of park facilities will be opening up in Frederick.

The Parks and Recreation Department says the Clustered Spires Golf Course will reopen on Saturday, May 9th. Interested residents can call 301-600-1295 for information on tee times, safety measures and operations.

Basketball courts, tennis courts, in-line rinks, skate parks and the dog park will reopen on Friday, May 8th..

City officials say this follows the Governor’s decision announced on Wednesday to expand the list of safe outdoor activities.

But visitors to these park facilities are reminded that gatherings of more than ten people are still prohibited, and social distancing continues to be in affect. Residents are also encouraged to visit parks in or near their communities to cut down on unnecessary travel.

The City of Frederick says park playgrounds and pavilions remain closed.
