Virtual Learning May Continue In The Fall For Jefferson County WV Schools

 

  
The school board will allow families to choose how students recieve instruction next school year


Charles Town, WV (DG) – The Jefferson County Board of Education gave an update to the safe reopening of schools in the fall. Jefferson County Schools Superintendent Dr. Bondy Shay Gibson said families will have choices for how students receive instruction during the 2020-2021 school year. That includes a full virtual learning option.

Following guidelines set up by the CDC and West Virginia Department of Health, Gibson said the school system has the technology and infrastructure to continue educating students remotely.

Jefferson County Schools uses Google Classrooms. There are 9,000 students in the school system.
