COVID-19 Cases Rise In Frederick, Washington Counties

No new deaths reported in either jurisdiction.

 

Frederick, Md (KM) The numbers of cases of COVID-19 continue to increase in both Frederick and Washington Counties. The Health Department says there were 1625 confirmed cases of the coronavirus as of Thursday afternoon in Frederick County, an increase of 44 from Wednesday. In Washington County, the Joint Information Center says there were 385 confirmed cases, 12 more than on Wednesday.

Frederick County has reported 96 deaths from COVID-19; and in Washington County, it was 12. Neither county reported any increase in deaths as of Thursday afternoon.

923 patients were released from isolation in Frederick County as of Thursday afternoon, an increase of 49 since Wednesday. Washington County reports 139 patients released from isolation.

Statewide, the Maryland Department of Health is reporting 43,531 cases of COVID-19  as of Thursday; that’s 1208 more compared with Wednesday.

The Department says there are 2045 coronavirus deaths as of Thursday, 41 more than the day before.

The number of patients released from isolation is 3099, 10 more than on Wednesday.
