Coronavirus deaths in Frederick County reach 100 by Friday.
Frederick, Md (KM) The Frederick County Health Department says the number of people who’ve tested positive for COVID-19 continues to increase. As of Friday afternoon, there are 1,653 individuals who have contracted the coronavirus, a jump of 28 since Thursday. The number of deaths has reached 100, up by four from the day before.
The Health Department also says the number of deaths does not mean those individual succumbed to COVID-19 in the last 24-hours. It says some of those death reports have been delayed.
Also as of Friday afternoon, 943 patients have been released from isolation. That’s an increase of 20 from Thursday, according to the Health Department.
In Washington County, the number of COVID-19 patients continues to climb. The Joint Information Center says there are 390 confirmed cases of the coronavirus as of Friday afternoon, which is five more than on Thursday. The number of deaths remains at 12, and 139 patients have been released from isolation.
