Motorcycle Accident Kills 56-Year-Old Man

 

Police say speed and alcohol were factors in the crash

Frederick, Md. (DG) – A motorcycle accident Saturday afternoon in Frederick County killed a 56-year-old man from Elkton, Maryland.

Maryland State Police responded to Route 75 between Route 26 and Coppermine Road at around 3:45 PM for an accident involving a motorcycle.

Investigators say Michael Williams was on a 2013 Yamaha motorcycle traveling northbound on Route 75. He lost control of his motorcycle around a curve, and crashed down an embankment. Williams was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say speed and alcohol are believed to be contributing factors in the accident.
